The Opportunity

A leading regional law firm is seeking a Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (0–3 PQE) to join its highly regarded Family team in Guildford.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside recognised specialists on a broad range of complex, high-value family matters while developing your own caseload within a collaborative and supportive environment. You’ll receive outstanding mentoring from experienced Partners and Senior Associates, making this an ideal role for someone looking to accelerate their career in family law.

The Role

Working as part of an award-winning Family team, you will support senior lawyers on complex matters while gradually taking responsibility for your own files. The team advises a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and international clients, across a broad spectrum of family law.

Your work will include:

• High-value financial remedy proceedings involving trusts, business interests, pensions, inherited wealth and international assets.
• Divorce and separation matters.
• Pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
• Cohabitation disputes, Schedule 1 Children Act and TLATA claims.
• Complex private children law matters.
• International family law issues, including child abduction cases.
• Non-court dispute resolution, including mediation and collaborative law.
• Modern family matters, including surrogacy arrangements.

The team prides itself on delivering practical, commercially minded advice whilst encouraging constructive, non-confrontational resolutions wherever possible.

About You

Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives with experience in family law.

You will ideally have:

• Between 0–3 years’ PQE (although applications outside this range will be considered based on experience).
• Experience assisting with a broad range of family matters.
• Exposure to financial remedy work and/or private children matters.
• An interest in complex and high-net-worth cases.
• Strong client care and communication skills.
• A proactive and organised approach to managing workload.
• An interest in networking and business development.
• A collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
