About the Role

• Main Dealer based in Tunbridge Wells
• Circa £45k Basic Salary + Bonus
• Monday to Friday 8AM to 5.30PM - No Weekends
• Full main dealer training programme

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join a busy, professional workshop where quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction are paramount.   The Role: As a Senior Vehicle Technician, you will play a key role within the workshop, ensuring vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest manufacturer standards while supporting junior team members.   Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out advanced diagnostics, servicing, and complex repairs
• Utilise manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment
• Provide technical support to colleagues and workshop control
• Mentor and support junior technicians
• Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
• Accurately complete job cards and associated documentation
• Contribute to workshop efficiency and productivity targets

Essential Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Previous experience as a Senior or Master Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding expertise
• Full UK driving licence
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship

Desirable:

• MOT Tester qualification
• Hybrid / EV accreditation
• Experience within a franchised dealership

You will ideally have: Previous experience as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician Strong vehicle preparation and paint application skills Experience with modern paint systems and refinishing techniques Excellent attention to detail The ability to consistently produce a high-quality finish Good colour-matching and blending skills The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment A reliable and professional approach to work The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or ATA would be advantageous, although proven experience and ability are more important.
