Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a leading specialist provider in Ebbw Vale. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic professional committed to supporting pupils’ emotional development and wellbeing. The successful candidate will work closely with children across all age groups, delivering targeted wellbeing interventions and contributing to an inclusive, anti-racist school environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant based in Ebbw Vale, your daily duties will include:

Delivering targeted wellbeing interventions to support emotional literacy and resilience among pupils
Working with pupils individually and in small groups to promote emotional and social development
Tracking and analysing pupil data, in collaboration with the ALNCo, to monitor progress and inform support strategies
Supporting children’s learning across the school, both in class and through intervention work
Assisting with planning and preparing resources for wellbeing and intervention sessions
Providing classroom support or emergency cover when required
Promoting inclusivity and demonstrating sensitivity to pupils’ diverse backgrounds
Contributing to the school’s anti-racism and wider equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives
Communicating effectively with pupils, colleagues, and families
Participating in school events and enrichment activities

Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will need:

Strong commitment to supporting pupils’ emotional and social development
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Flexibility, proactivity, and a caring approach to supporting children
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
A genuine commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, and anti-racist practices
Experience as an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) is desirable but not essential
