Electrical Maintenance Technician

Join our hospital estates team We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the on-site Estates team at Fife Victoria Hospital on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with maintenance experience to work in a busy healthcare environment, supporting the safe operation of critical hospital services. There is also the potential for a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. The Role Working as part of the on-site electrical maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the hospital estate. Your duties will include:

• Lighting and emergency lighting maintenance and repairs
• Small power fault finding and repairs
• Minor electrical installation work
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
• Completing maintenance records accurately using electronic systems
• Working safely in accordance with Health & Safety procedures
• Supporting the wider Estates Engineering team as required

What we're looking for To be successful in this role you'll have:

• Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds, SVQ, NVQ or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred)
• Experience carrying out electrical maintenance within commercial, industrial or healthcare environments
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively

Previous experience within an NHS or healthcare environment would be an advantage but is not essential. What's on offer?
