Electronics Test & Quality Engineer

• Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
• Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30am - 17:00pm & Friday 08:30am - 14:00pm  

We are looking for an experienced Electronics Test & Quality Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is a varied, hands-on role combining electronics testing, PCB fault-finding, quality engineering, compliance and continuous improvement.

You’ll work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing and suppliers to ensure products are safe, reliable, compliant and manufactured to consistently high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Test and fault-find electronic PCBs, systems and assemblies
• Investigate defects and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Manage internal, supplier and customer non-conformances
• Conduct internal product, process and quality audits
• Support and maintain ISO 9001 quality standards
• Lead and support external certification audits
• Monitor quality trends, recurring defects and supplier performance
• Develop test procedures, inspection standards and acceptance criteria
• Create and maintain technical documentation, work instructions and troubleshooting guides
• Produce technical reports and electronic system schematics
• Support Production with technical fault diagnosis and process improvements
• Work with Design Engineering on test results, design improvements and product development
• Support the development of production test equipment and test fixtures

About You

• Experience in electronics testing, fault-finding or quality engineering
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits, PCBs and test equipment
• Experience with root-cause analysis and non-conformance management
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
• Able to interpret technical drawings, schematics and engineering documentation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Methodical, organised and highly quality-focused
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments
• Electronics engineering qualification or relevant practical experience
