F-Gas Engineer – HVAC / Air Conditioning

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced F-Gas Engineer to join an established building services contractor delivering a major, long-term contract across a large portfolio of retail sites throughout London.

This is a mobile engineering position focused on the service, maintenance, fault finding and repair of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems within live retail environments.

You will work across an established portfolio of sites, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance while diagnosing faults and ensuring HVAC and refrigeration assets remain safe, compliant and operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults across HVAC and associated mechanical equipment.
• Service and maintain equipment including split systems, multi-splits, VRV/VRF systems and commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Carry out refrigerant handling, recovery, charging and leak testing in accordance with F-Gas regulations.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive call-outs.
• Identify equipment defects and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement works.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant legislation and company procedures.
• Complete engineering reports and accurately record works undertaken.
• Liaise professionally with site teams and customers while working within live commercial environments.
• Support wider building services and engineering teams where required.

What We're Looking For

You will ideally be an experienced Air Conditioning, Refrigeration or HVAC Engineer with a strong commercial maintenance background.

Essential or highly desirable experience includes:

• F-Gas Category 1 / City & Guilds 2079 or equivalent qualification.
• Strong experience maintaining and repairing commercial air conditioning systems.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
• Experience with VRV/VRF, split and multi-split systems.
• Refrigeration experience would be advantageous.
• Previous experience working within retail, commercial, FM or multi-site environments would be beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
