You will work closely with team members, assembling prefabricated pipework, carrying out TIG, MIG and arc welding, and ensuring all work meets stringent quality and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesFabricate and fit a range of pipework systems and components.Carry out TIG, MIG and arc welding to a high standard.Work with stainless steel, mild steel, and other fabrication materials.Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and fabrication details accurately.Assemble and prepare prefabricated pipework and associated components.Conduct quality inspections to ensure high standards are maintained.Work collaboratively within the workshop and fabrication teams.Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.Complete fabrication work efficiently and within agreed timescales.Skills and ExperienceProven experience in pipe fabrication and fitting.Proficiency in TIG, MIG and arc welding techniques.Sound practical knowledge of stainless steel and mild steel fabrication.Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings.Strong understanding of welding, fabrication and workshop safety procedures.Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.Experience in industrial, domestic, dairy or process pipework is advantageous.Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications/certifications are preferred.Certified Welding Engineer qualification/certification is required.Location and PackageLocation: Corsham, WiltshireContract: PermanentStart Date: ASAPIf you are a reliable, skilled and safety-conscious welder/fitter who is looking to build a long-term professional career in a busy workshop environment, this permanent role could be exactly what you are seeking.
