We’re supporting a well-established UK engineering organisation as they look to bring in an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant on an initial two-month contract, with an immediate start available.

This is a hands-on role within a busy finance team, ideal for someone who enjoys a steady workflow, is comfortable handling high volumes of invoices and can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

The role will involve:

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.

• Matching, batching and coding invoices in line with company procedures.

• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating any discrepancies.

• Responding to supplier queries and building positive working relationships.

• Keeping on top of a busy workload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role is essential.

• Confidence working in a high-volume invoice processing environment.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

• A proactive, reliable approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.

• Someone who can get up to speed quickly and make an immediate contribution.
