Job Introduction

Relief School Minibus Driver (casual contract)

Hourly Rate: £13.49 plus 12.07% holiday pay

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Relief Minibus Driver to provide flexible transport support for our students.

The role will involve:

• Covering absences of our permanent drivers on the morning and afternoon school routes, operating approximately between 7:30am and 8:45am and 3:00pm and 4:15pm.
• Transporting students to and from sporting fixtures, educational visits, and other extracurricular activities during term time.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have a minimum of two years' driving experience.
• Hold a current, clean and valid driving licence with D1 entitlement.
• Possess a MiDAS certificate, or be willing to undertake training, which can be provided.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Have a good understanding of driving-related health and safety requirements.
• Be positive, dependable, and able to work effectively within a school environment.

Working Arrangements

This is a casual, as-required position, and no minimum or regular hours can be guaranteed. The role would suit someone seeking a flexible working pattern and the opportunity to support the wider life of a school community.
