Job Description
Vetro are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a team on a temporary basis in a school in Cheshire. This role involves supporting a pupil within a bespoke Resource Provision for SEND students, specifically through British Sign Language (BSL). The successful candidate will work closely with the class team to provide tailored support in a vibrant educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant based in Cheshire, your daily duties will include:

Supporting a pupil with special educational needs (SEN) within a dedicated resource classroom, using BSL to facilitate communication.
Assisting with personalised learning plans and adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Collaborating with teachers and other staff to promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:

Level 2 or Level 3 British Sign Language (BSL) qualification with relevant experience working with SEN pupils.
Experience of working with children with special educational needs, particularly within a SEND setting.
Enhanced DBS check and a strong understanding of deaf awareness and deafness.
