Job Description
Vetro are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Cheshire. This role offers the opportunity to support children’s learning, emotional wellbeing, and independence within a vibrant educational environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and pupils to help every child thrive.

Key Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, your daily duties will include:

Supporting children’s learning and development through personalised classroom assistance
Working 1:1 with pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
Delivering targeted interventions and monitoring progress in collaboration with teachers and the SENCO
Building positive relationships with children, parents, and carers to promote a safe and inclusive environment
Assisting in the organisation of activities that support mental and physical wellbeing, enriching the school experience

Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:

Relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Experience supporting children with SEND or in a similar setting
Knowledge of phonics and supporting emotional literacy interventions (ELSA) is desirable
Mandatory compliance including an Enhanced DBS Check and Right to Work in the UK
