Job Description:
We are recruiting a Housing Support Worker to join a specialist supported housing service in Abertillery. This is an excellent opportunity to support adults experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and/or recovery from substance misuse within a safe, structured environment. Key Responsibilities:
As a Housing Support Worker based in Abertillery, your daily duties will include:

Supporting residents to follow house rules, maintain safety, and contribute to a positive shared living environment in Abertillery
Providing emotional support and practical guidance using a person-centred approach
Explaining and reinforcing health & safety procedures, reporting concerns appropriately
Welcoming and signposting visitors/service users, sharing accurate information and guidance
Working closely with Housing Officers and wider teams to meet individual needs
Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion and maintaining high standards of customer care

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Housing Support Worker, you will need:

A strong, empathetic and person-centred approach
Experience in social care or supported housing (desirable)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work across a rota (days/nights/weekends as required)
Enhanced DBS Check (required) and a clear commitment to safeguarding
NVQ Level 3 or 5 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (where applicable)
