Start Date: 1st January 2027 Salary: £29,450 - £32,311 (Actual Salary) Term time only Plus Inset Days We are seeking an organised, proactive and knowledgeable Senior Science Technician to lead the technical support provision within our thriving Science Faculty. Working closely with the Head of Science and teaching staff, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of laboratories, preparation rooms and practical resources across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will oversee the preparation of practical experiments, manage equipment and resources, maintain high standards of laboratory safety, and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including COSHH requirements.This is an exciting opportunity to take a lead role in developing and enhancing practical science provision.
You will manage stock and budgets, support practical examinations, contribute to departmental improvement initiatives and provide guidance to other science technicians.
The successful candidate will play a key part in creating a safe, efficient and inspiring learning environment that enables students and teachers to fully engage in practical science.
