HRUC is a large, successful Further Education College Group in West London, comprised of 3 Colleges – Uxbridge, Harrow and Richmond.

Reporting to the Data and Reporting Manager, in this role you will play a pivotal role in helping the College understand, interpret, and maximise the value of its data.

You will manage and analyse large, complex datasets relating to student records and performance. Using your expertise in SQL and database management, you will extract, interrogate, and transform data into clear and meaningful management information.  You will design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights, enabling leaders across the organisation to make informed, strategic decisions that enhance learner outcomes and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing reliable, timely information as required to senior management and other staff
  • Designing, building, and maintaining interactive, user-friendly dashboards and automated reports using Power BI
  • Manage, maintain, and enhance existing legacy reports utilising Mircrosoft reporting platform SSRS
  • To liaise effectively with managers across the Group to validate the quality and integrity of student data

We are seeking an analytical, proactive individual who can demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience of working with MS SQL Management Studio with strong SQL skills.
  • Experience of data warehousing and a strong understanding of data warehouse design
  • Working knowledge of at least 1 visualisation tool (PowerBI or Tableau)
  • Experience of producing reports in a variety of formats to meet short deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate high levels of accuracy
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation

This role will be based on site at Uxbridge for a minimum of 3 days per week, with up to 2 days working remotely subject to business need.

You will be joining a supportive and inclusive organisation, with many opportunities for professional development and growth.  We offer a range of benefits for staff including generous annual leave allowance, Local Government Pension Scheme, a range of staff benefits and free car parking on all sites.

We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

The closing date may be brought forward if we receive a sufficient field of applications. We therefore encourage early applications.
