Warehouse Team Leader
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire, England
Salary: £31,913.28 per annum (£15.96 per hour)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Rotating Shifts)
Hours: 40 hours per week (06:00–14:00 & 14:00–22:00)
Pay: Monthly
Visa Sponsorship: Available
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Team Leader to join a busy warehouse operation in Corby. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead by example, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of warehouse activities while maintaining high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and health and safety.
You will be responsible for overseeing picking, packing and dispatch operations, supporting the warehouse team, and assisting with office operations when required. The successful candidate will have strong warehouse experience, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to motivate and support a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the warehouse team, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure full compliance with all health and safety procedures.
- Receive customer deliveries, accurately check stock, record receipts and process documentation.
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders to agreed service levels.
- Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
- Put away stock into warehouse racking and storage locations.
- Carry out manual handling duties as required.
- Complete warehouse documentation accurately and sign off completed tasks.
- Perform stock integrity and quality checks.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse and external areas.
- Support office operations when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a warehouse environment.
- Previous experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role is desirable.
- Good communication and team working skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Professional and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work flexibly across rotating shifts.
- MHE licences (Articulated, Counterbalance or PPT) are advantageous but not essential.
- Broad knowledge of warehouse operations and processes.
