Location: South Belfast
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working Hours: Day shifts
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship

About the Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician on behalf of an established engineering and facilities services organisation based in South Belfast.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified, hands-on technician looking to join a professional working environment, with a competitive salary of £35,000–£45,000 depending on experience and the benefit of day-shift working.

The successful candidate will have a strong maintenance background, be confident working independently and have at least three years’ relevant experience following completion of their apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site facilities and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete reactive maintenance and repairs.
• Undertake general facilities and building services maintenance.
• Identify potential equipment issues and contribute to reducing downtime.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with relevant procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report any issues requiring further attention.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and site management to maintain high operational standards.

Essential Requirements

• A recognised engineering or maintenance apprenticeship.
• A minimum of three years’ relevant experience post-apprenticeship.
• Practical experience in facilities maintenance, engineering maintenance or building services.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to safe working practices.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working within a commercial, industrial or facilities management environment.
• Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance systems.
• Experience across mechanical and/or electrical building services.
