Product Development Manager

A well-established life insurer and member of a leading Chinese banking group, with a strong presence in Hong Kong. The company focuses on developing and distributing a wide range of life insurance and protection products, supported by solid distribution channels and a commitment to product innovation and customer needs.You will join a cross-functional team responsible for developing market-leading insurance products.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the full product life-cycle, from initial ideation and market research through to implementation.
Manage end-to-end product launches, including refining the value proposition, distribution approach, and overall development process.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Ensure all product development work follows company risk controls, procedures, and compliance standards.
Prepare product documentation and collateral required for internal and regulatory approvals.
Monitor market trends, competitor products, and customer journeys to inform product decisions.
Lead and develop a small team of junior staff.
Requirements

University degree in a relevant field (actuarial science, finance, or business administration preferred).
Minimum 5 years of hands-on insurance industry experience, ideally in product development, product marketing, channel development, or actuarial work.
Strong written and spoken English and Chinese.
Solid business acumen, customer-focused mindset, and strong analytical skills.
Ability to clearly communicate complex issues and solutions to different stakeholders.
Agile working style with strong execution capability.
