Equine Lecturer

We are currently recruiting for an Equine Lecturer to deliver equine management and science programmes within a Further Education setting in the Moreton Morrell area.

The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging, learner-focused teaching across equine programmes, supporting students to develop their theoretical knowledge, practical equestrian skills, and professional industry practice.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging classroom, workshop, and practical yard-based sessions.
Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback.
Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
Ensure delivery meets awarding-body and curriculum requirements.
Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusive learning.

Requirements

Relevant equine qualification or equivalent industry/academic experience.
Equine teaching or lecturing experience, ideally within an FE or HE setting.
Strong knowledge of equine management, horse care, coaching, or animal science.
Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET) is desirable.
Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
