About the role
Want a graduate role that offers real responsibility, direct mentoring from senior leadership and exposure to how a business operates behind the scenes? Join a growing group where you’ll work closely with the Executive Chairman, coordinate key business operations and gain a broad foundation for a future career in operations or management.
The Company
Our client is a growing business group expanding through acquisitions and bringing together a range of businesses under one organisation. With operations spanning multiple sites, the group relies on effective central services to keep everything running smoothly, from finance and IT to fleet management and property maintenance.
You’ll work directly with the Founder and Executive Chairman, gaining valuable insight into business strategy, senior decision-making and the practical challenges of managing a growing organisation. Full training, close mentoring and support towards a professional qualification will help you develop the skills to progress into a senior operational role.
The Role
As a Graduate Central Services & Executive Coordinator, you’ll take on a varied role combining executive support, business operations and project coordination. Acting as the Chairman’s right hand, you’ll organise meetings, coordinate external advisers and ensure important actions and deadlines are followed through. Alongside this, you’ll help manage central services, monitor costs and support the integration of newly acquired businesses.
No previous experience in these areas is required, making this an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, numerate graduate who wants to learn how businesses operate at a senior level.
-
Manage the Chairman’s diary, travel arrangements and meeting schedules.
-
Organise leadership meetings, prepare agendas and track follow-up actions.
-
Coordinate external advisers, including accountants, lawyers, banks and insurers.
-
Support the management of IT suppliers, company vehicles and property maintenance.
-
Monitor central services expenditure, check invoices and compare supplier quotes.
-
Maintain accurate records covering contracts, insurance, fleet and property.
-
Help integrate newly acquired businesses by coordinating information and central processes.
-
Provide updates on projects, costs and deadlines to support senior decision-making.
Benefits and Perks
This is a rare opportunity to gain broad business exposure early in your career, with direct access to senior leadership and a clear development pathway. As well as a starting salary of £32,000, you’ll receive:
-
Direct mentoring from the Founder and Executive Chairman.
-
Exposure to finance, IT, fleet, property and business acquisitions.
-
Support towards a professional qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA or AAT.
-
Clear progression towards central services or operations management.
-
Hybrid working, with 3 days in the office and 2 days flexible.
-
A permanent, full-time position with an immediate start.
Requirements
Must-Have
-
A 2:1 or above in accounting, finance, economics, business or a similarly numerate degree.
-
Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables etc.
-
Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
-
The ability to travel to group sites.
Nice-to-Have
-
Experience organising a university society, event, project or volunteer team.
-
Previous office, finance or operations experience through an internship or part-time role.
-
An interest in understanding how businesses grow and operate.
