Woking, Surrey Faith Recruitment Senior Accountant / Practice Manager £40,000 - £60,000 + Career Development Woking Are you an experienced practice accountant looking for a role that offers both technical responsibility and the opportunity to play a key part in the running of a successful and growing firm? We are recruiting for a Senior Accountant / Practice Manager to join a busy and collaborative accountancy practice where you will work closely with leadership, manage a varied client portfolio, and help drive operational excellence across the business. The Role Working as a key member of the team, you will oversee client accounts, review workload capacity, manage internal processes, and support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice and it's external accountants. You will work closely with clients across a range of sectors, providing high-quality service while ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of clients, building strong and long-lasting relationships. Review accounts preparation work and ensure accuracy and compliance. Monitor workloads, deadlines, and team capacity across the practice. Produce management reports and provide operational oversight. Support the day-to-day management and efficiency of the practice. Act as a key point of contact for client queries and advisory support. Attend client meetings and provide excellent customer service. Manage multiple priorities and ensure work is delivered on time. Assist with tax-related work and identify advisory opportunities. Contribute to business growth and process improvement initiatives. Work closely with senior leadership to support business objectives. Skills & Experience Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment. ACA, ACCA, AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience. Strong accounts preparation and review experience. Tax knowledge would be highly advantageous. Experience managing multiple client accounts and competing deadlines. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail. Commercially minded with a proactive approach to problem solving. Ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team environment.
