HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver – Full Time
Location: Langar, Nottingham
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 start
Thursday Start: 05:00
Salary: £43,415 per annum
Overtime: Available and paid at time and a half
Resolve Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join a well-established operation based in Langar, Nottingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional HGV driver looking for a full-time, Monday to Friday position with a competitive annual salary, overtime opportunities and the potential for long-term progression.
The Role
- Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle on designated refuse collection routes
- Completing refuse collections safely, efficiently and within scheduled times
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
- Working closely with a crew to complete collection routes effectively
- Following all relevant road, transport and health & safety regulations
- Maintaining a high standard of professionalism and customer service
- Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean, safe and compliant at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Refuse, waste or local authority experience would be advantageous
- Reliable and professional approach to work
- Strong attendance and timekeeping
- Safety-focused with a good understanding of driver responsibilities
- Physically fit and comfortable working as part of a refuse collection crew
