CARETAKERS – Tameside

Caretakers Required – Various Shifts Across Tameside

We are currently recruiting reliable and flexible Caretakers to work across a range of sites throughout Tameside, including government buildings, nurseries, children’s centres, and community venues.

Available Shifts

• Mornings
• Days
• Evenings
• Weekends

Some buildings operate between 7:00am and 9:00pm, depending on events and operational requirements.

Various hours are available to support multiple locations across Tameside.

Caretaker – £13.54 per hour

Duties include:

• Key holder responsibilities
• Opening and securing buildings
• Ensuring windows and doors are locked and buildings are secure
• Setting up and moving chairs, tables and equipment for events
• Conducting routine building checks
• Assisting with minor maintenance tasks where required
• Providing support during events as needed

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
• Good work ethic and professional attitude
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Flexible and willing to travel to different sites across Tameside
• Ability to provide 2 years of employment references
• Successful completion of background checks

Desirable:

An enhanced DBS check is preferred due to the nature of the sites and responsibilities involved. Candidates without a current DBS may still be considered, subject to obtaining the appropriate clearance.
