Year 5 Teacher

Zest Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Castle Bromwich. The successful candidate will join a friendly Key Stage 2 team and play a key role in preparing pupils for the transition into their final year of primary education.

The Role

• Full-time Year 5 Class Teacher position
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes
• Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement
• Starting as soon as possible

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and assessment expectations
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
