At phs Wastekit, we're looking for an ambitious Business Development Consultant to help grow our customer base across the Midlands region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading organisation and play a key role in delivering sustainable waste management solutions to businesses across the UK.

Working closely with the Regional Sales Manager and Field Account Managers, you'll be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while building long-term, profitable customer relationships.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Business Development Consultant, you will:

• Deliver the regional new business strategy alongside the Regional Sales Manager and wider sales team.
• Identify, target, and win new customers while successfully converting competitor accounts.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive territory growth.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
• Accurately forecast sales performance and revenue.
• Represent phs Wastekit professionally in all customer interactions.
• Focus on high-quality sales activity to maximise conversion rates and results.
• Maintain accurate records and activity updates through CRM systems.
• Build strong relationships with key decision-makers across a variety of sectors.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• A proven track record in a new business development or hunter-style sales role.
• Experience delivering against demanding sales and growth targets.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• The ability to identify opportunities and convert them into profitable business.
• Experience managing and developing business across a large geographical territory.
• Strong knowledge of modern sales methodologies.
• CRM experience, ideally using Salesforce (SFDC).
• A proactive, resilient, and highly motivated approach.
• Confidence working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Strong personal standards and professionalism.
• The ability to challenge constructively and bring fresh ideas.
• A positive mindset and a genuine drive to succeed.
