About the role
- Work with teachers to support, guide and help our children succeed
- To work with individual children having special or particular needs, in accordance
- with the child’s EHCP where appropriate and\or groups of children as directed
- by the teacher
- Assist with the planning and preparation of activities, and in the delivery of local and national initiatives e.g. literacy and numeracy strategy
- Be familiar with relevant Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and other individual plans for the pupils you support.
- Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
- Responsible for the supervision of pupils during the midday break maintaining discipline and creating a positive atmosphere.
- Distribute meals, wash and stack away tables, chairs, and clean dining area as required.
