SR163 Site Manager

Our client is seeking an SR163 Site Manager for a contract opportunity within the transmission and distribution sector. The role will suit a civils-focused site management professional with strong experience working on National Grid-related projects and the required industry competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the safe and efficient delivery of civils works on transmission and distribution projects
• Supervising site teams, subcontractors and daily construction activities
• Ensuring all works comply with project specifications, health and safety procedures and quality standards
• Applying TP137 requirements and maintaining compliance with relevant National Grid processes
• Co-ordinating site activities, resources, permits and work schedules
• Monitoring progress and reporting on project performance, risks and issues
• Working closely with project managers, engineers, clients and other stakeholders
• Maintaining accurate site records, inspections and construction documentation

Job Requirements:

• Valid SR163 certification or authorisation
• Relevant National Grid competencies for the role
• Experience in civils-focused site management within the transmission and distribution sector
• Working knowledge of TP137 requirements
• Strong understanding of construction health and safety, quality control and environmental standards
• Ability to supervise site teams and manage subcontractor performance
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment
