Electrical Technicians

Our client, a specialist organisation within the nuclear sector, is seeking Electrical Technicians for a contract opportunity in Reading. The role involves working on gloveboxes and HVAC-related systems, including panel wiring, building management systems (BMS) and programmable logic controller (PLC) work. The successful applicants will support high standards of safety, compliance and technical quality within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and modification work within a nuclear environment
• Working on glovebox systems and associated HVAC equipment
• Completing panel wiring, testing and fault-finding activities
• Supporting BMS and PLC-related electrical works
• Interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
• Working in accordance with strict health, safety, quality and environmental procedures
• Collaborating with engineering and project teams to ensure effective delivery of works
• Completing accurate records, test documentation and handover information

Job Requirements:

• Experience working as an Electrical Technician, Electrical Engineer or within a similar industrial role
• SC Clearance and the ability to gain DV Clearance
• City & Guilds 2391 qualification or equivalent in inspection and testing
• NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or a relevant engineering discipline
• Understanding of panel wiring, BMS and PLC systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance
