Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset Abatec Recruitment £31,500 – £35,000 per annum DOE | Permanent | Weston-super-Mare area Job description: Abatec Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Digital Print & Production Specialist to join a well-established manufacturing business in the Weston-super-Mare area. This is a varied, hands-on role combining digital artwork preparation, large-format printing, production and customer communication. The successful candidate will have experience within a specialist print or graphics production environment and be confident managing projects from initial enquiry through to completion. What's in it for you? * Permanent, full-time position * Salary: £31,500 – £35,000 per annum DOE * Monday to Friday – no weekends * Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:45pm * Friday: 8:15am – 3:30pm * Varied role combining technical, creative and practical skills * Opportunity to manage projects independently * Immediate start available Key responsibilities: * Manage customer enquiries and production requirements * Prepare quotations and pricing for projects * Advise customers on suitable materials, finishes and production methods * Create, adapt and prepare digital artwork for production * Use Adobe Illustrator and other relevant design software * Operate large-format digital printing equipment * Carry out print finishing, cutting and assembly tasks * Work with a variety of materials and substrates * Ensure finished products meet quality standards * Manage multiple projects and meet production deadlines * Work closely with colleagues to ensure efficient production Requirements: * Previous experience in specialist print, graphics or display manufacturing – essential * Hands-on experience operating large-format digital printers * Good understanding of print finishing and production processes * Experience using Adobe Illustrator or similar design software * Ability to prepare accurate, production-ready artwork * Knowledge of different materials, substrates and finishes * Experience preparing quotations and communicating with customers * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills * Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently * Full driving licence and reliable own transport due to the rural location We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience managing projects from artwork preparation through to finished production, rather than those with a purely graphic design background.
