About the role
Pertemps are recruiting for an Archive Assistant for our public sector client in Edinburgh.
Role – Archive Assistant
Location – split between Edinburgh City Centre and Murrayburn area of Edinburgh
Hours – Tuesday to Friday, 0900 – 1700
Pay rate - £14.51 per hour
Start date – Tuesday 27th October 2026

The successful applicant will be:
- Providing excellent customer service to customers
- Ensuring customers have appropriate access to archive collections
- Managing and preserving collections in accordance with processes
- Responding to customer enquiries
- Preparing archives to be packaged and moved between sites
- Carrying out cataloguing activities
- Any other tasks as required
You should have:
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience of working with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
