Electrical Controls Design Engineer
South Elmsall, West Yorkshire
£45,000 – £60,000 + Excellent Benefits
A leading engineering business is looking to recruit an Electrical Controls Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of innovative automation and control systems for complex engineering projects.
The Role
- Design electrical control systems and industrial control panels
- Produce electrical schematics, panel layouts and technical documentation
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support component selection
- Perform electrical load calculations and design verification
- Support manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities
- Drive continuous improvement and value-engineering initiatives
- Work closely with project, manufacturing and installation teams
Skills & Experience
- Electrical Controls Design experience
- Industrial Control Panel Design
- EPLAN P8 experience preferred
- Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs and automation systems
- Electrical CAD experience
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles
Desirable
- EPLAN Pro Panel
- Siemens or Beckhoff systems
- UL508A knowledge
- Functional Safety (ISO13849 / IEC62061)
