Level 3 qualified Maintenance Engineer with a background in manufacturing? Ready for more sociable hours? Put your skills to work across a busy manufacturing site—and start your weekend at 1.30pm on Fridays. We’re looking for a practical Maintenance Engineer who likes variety, takes pride in a proper repair and spots what needs doing without waiting to be asked. From finding machinery faults to planning servicing and tackling facilities jobs, you’ll have plenty to get your teeth into. You’ll carry out work yourself and organise specialist contractors when needed, working closely with the production team to keep things moving. What you’ll be doing * Finding and fixing electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment * Planning preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns * Improving equipment reliability and resolving recurring problems * Taking care of general building and facilities maintenance * Coordinating contractors, servicing and safety inspections * Keeping maintenance records and making sure essential parts are available What we’re looking for * A Level 3 engineering qualification as a minimum * An electrical bias, supported by sound mechanical knowledge * Hands-on maintenance experience within manufacturing * Someone equally willing to tackle a machinery repair or a practical facilities job * A proactive approach, good organisation and confidence coordinating external contractors Why join? * An established manufacturer, a close-knit site team and the backing of a larger group. * You’ll have scope to make improvements, develop your skills and see the difference your work makes across the business. * Regular daytime hours and an early Friday finish - more time to enjoy life outside the factory. * Overtime available * Progression possible Apply online with your up to date CV and full career history for immediate consideration.
