About the role

Adelaide School, Crewe, is a specialist provision dedicated to supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. Through a nurturing, therapeutic and inclusive approach, the school empowers pupils to overcome barriers to learning, develop resilience, and achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

About the Role

The Intervention Manager plays a key strategic and operational role in ensuring that pupils receive targeted, high-quality support to overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive educational, social and emotional outcomes. Working closely with school leaders, teaching staff, families and external agencies, the postholder will lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of intervention programmes that meet the needs of individual pupils and groups.

The role is responsible for identifying areas of need through assessment, progress monitoring and data analysis, coordinating appropriate interventions, and ensuring that support programmes are effective, evidence-based and aligned with the school's improvement priorities. The Intervention Manager will provide expert advice and guidance to staff, contribute to multi-agency working, and promote inclusive practice across the school.

A significant aspect of the role involves building positive relationships with pupils and their families, including planning and delivering parent groups and interventions where appropriate, to strengthen engagement and support pupil progress. The postholder will also contribute to safeguarding, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing initiatives, helping to create a safe, supportive and aspirational learning environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, alongside a commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners. They will be expected to promote the school's values, support continuous improvement, and ensure that all interventions are delivered effectively, monitored rigorously and reviewed to maximise impact.

In Return the School Will Provide:

  • Bespoke, high-quality training to support knowledge and understanding of specialist behaviour management interventions
  • Small class sizes and high staffing ratios, in and out of the classroom
  • Networking opportunities through the Manor Hall Academy Trust and local SEMH school groups.
  • Support for creative and flexible thinking to enhance curriculum delivery
  • A knowledgeable and highly supportive staff team
