Maths Teacher – Secondary School | Wakefield

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £165–£230 per day, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time | Fixed-term
Start Date: January 2027

PK Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher for a secondary school in the Wakefield area, commencing January 2027.

This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity, ideal for a qualified teacher who is confident delivering engaging Mathematics lessons and supporting pupils across the secondary age range.

The Role:

• Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Take responsibility for planning, preparation, teaching and assessment.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet varying abilities.
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and a productive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Mathematics department.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Mathematics within a UK secondary school.
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and classroom management.
• Is committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil progress.
• Is available for a full-time position from January 2027.
