• Monday:16:30–22:30
• Tuesday:16:30–22:00
• Wednesday:16:00–22:00
• Thursday:15:00–22:30

 

Total: 28 hours per week- 30 hours per week depending on business needs 

 

About the Role

 

We are looking for an experienced, highly organised and methodical Bakery Supervisor to join our team and work directly alongside our Bakery Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our packing and dispatch operations.

 

This is a hands-on supervisory role for someone who is confident leading a team, improving working practices and ensuring that daily orders are picked, packed and loaded onto delivery vans accurately and on time.

 

You will be responsible for organising staff and workloads, maintaining high standards and ensuring that everyone works efficiently and takes responsibility for their role. You will need to be confident managing an established team, including long-standing members of staff, and able to introduce improvements in a professional, fair and motivating way.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Supervise and organise the packing and dispatch team to ensure shifts run efficiently.
• Work closely with the Bakery Manager to plan workloads and meet daily deadlines.
• Organise the picking and packing of customer orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Oversee the loading of delivery vans, ensuring all orders are correct and ready for dispatch on time.
• Monitor staff performance, ensuring everyone is productive and contributing fairly to the workload.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce wasted time and operate the packing department more efficiently.
• Review staffing levels and working methods to reduce unnecessary hours in the packing department without compromising quality or service.
• Motivate, support and lead an established team, encouraging staff to embrace improvements and maintain high standards.
• Resolve day-to-day operational issues calmly and confidently.
• Maintain excellent organisation, communication and standards throughout the shift.

 

The Ideal Candidate

 

We are looking for someone who:

 

• Speaks and understands English fluently, with excellent communication skills.
• Has proven experience supervising staff and managing a team.
• Is exceptionally organised, methodical and efficient.
• Has strong leadership skills and can confidently delegate tasks and manage workloads.
• Can motivate an established team and manage resistance to change professionally.
• Has a keen eye for detail and understands the importance of accuracy when picking, packing and dispatching orders.
• Is proactive, practical and confident making decisions.
• Can identify inefficiencies and implement better ways of working.
• Is reliable, responsible and able to work independently while communicating closely with the Bakery Manager.
• Ideally has experience in a bakery, food production, packing, warehouse or dispatch environment.

We need a strong, hands-on supervisor who can take ownership of the shift, bring structure to the packing department and ensure that the team works together effectively.

 

The successful candidate will be confident enough to manage performance, challenge inefficient working practices and make sure that standards are consistently maintained.
