We are looking for an experienced and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to join our team and support the Group Cleaning Manager in delivering a high-quality cleaning service across the college. You will supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the cleaning team, allocating workloads and ensuring cleaning schedules, service standards, hygiene requirements and health and safety procedures are consistently maintained. Working closely with the Facilities Team, you will help ensure the school provides a clean, safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.
You will carry out regular inspections and quality checks across designated areas, including floors, windows, sanitary facilities and high-touch points, providing guidance and support to cleaning staff where required. You will oversee routine cleaning, waste disposal, stock levels and the safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with COSHH requirements, while responding promptly to spillages, incidents and additional cleaning requirements. You will also support the induction, training and development of cleaning staff, monitor attendance and timekeeping, maintain appropriate records and undertake cleaning duties yourself when required to maintain service levels.
We are seeking someone with previous experience in cleaning management or a related field, with good knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, products, health and safety requirements and cleaning standards. You will be a confident team player who can work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating drive, resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure while prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment.
