Location: St James C of E Infant and Nursery SchoolHours: 35 hours per week, 8.00am to 3.30pm (with half an hour unpaid lunchbreak)Contract type: 1 x Permanent 1 x Temporary to cover Maternity leave, possibiity of becoming permanent - Term-time onlyStart date: November 2026The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and inclusive Teaching Assistant to support children within our inclusive Infant School. The post will initially be in a Year 2 class. The post is to cover a maternity leave contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. We are looking for someone who is:• open to learning new strategies;• experienced in using positive behaviour strategies to engage children in learning activities so their social and emotional skills are developed to support their readiness to learn;• has good communication, ICT and organisational skills;• passionate about the learning and development of children and creating opportunities for children to succeed and move their learning forward;• physically fit and mobile;• committed to inclusive education.
