We are seeking a friendly highly organised and confident School Administrator to join our busy school, which is at the heart of the local community in New Wortley.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys working with people, thieves in a busy environment and is looking to develop a career in school administration.
About the role:
As a key member of our administration team, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school. You will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors and members of the community, providing a warm, welcoming and professional front-of-house service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the school reception and welcoming visitors
- Admitting and signing in visitors in line with school, procedures
- Handling telephone calls and responding to emails
- Updating and maintaining the school’s MIS system
- Managing and recording children’s attendance and registers
- Taking and recording accurate minutes of meetings
- Providing administrative support for Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Maintaining and overseeing the school’s Health and Safety assets register
- Producing reports and maintaining accurate records
- Providing general administrative support across the school
- Undertaking other varied administrative duties as required by management and in response to the needs of the school.
About you
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, friendly and approachable and exceptionally organised, with excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing a welcoming and professional service to pupils, parents, staff and visitors
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbal, and written.
- Be confident working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Have experience using Microsoft office and google packages.
- Be comfortable dealing with parents, visitors, staff and external contacts.
- Have excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a small administration team.
- Be will and able to learn new systems quickly – full training will be provided.
