About the role

Live Well Coordinator

Job description

Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent

Live Well is an integrated healthy lifestyle service that supports the residents of Leicester to improve their health and wellbeing. Through a range of evidence-based interventions, we help people to stop smoking, become more physically active, manage alcohol consumption, and achieve healthier lifestyles.

We are recruiting for two Live Well Coordinator positions:

  • Live Well Coordinator (Stop Smoking Service)
  • Live Well Coordinator (Community Engagement Service)

We are looking for passionate and motivated leaders who can inspire teams, drive performance, and support our vision of improving health outcomes for communities across Leicester.

What you'll be doing

As a Live Well Coordinator, you will provide effective leadership and management to a team of Advisors, ensuring high-quality services are delivered that achieve positive outcomes for clients and meet agreed performance targets and quality standards. You will use data, monitoring and audit information to evaluate service effectiveness, drive continuous improvement and support informed decision-making. The role also involves developing and supporting staff through performance management and professional development, while building strong partnerships with health organisations, community groups, Leicester City Council departments and other stakeholders. In addition, you will identify opportunities to enhance and develop services in response to local needs and emerging priorities, whilst effectively managing complaints, complex issues and escalated enquiries.

What you'll need

We are looking for experienced and inspirational leaders with a proven track record of managing and developing teams to deliver high-quality services and measurable outcomes. You will have strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, support and develop staff to achieve their full potential. Experienced in driving service improvement and managing performance against targets, you will use data and insight to inform decision-making and enhance service delivery. With excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills, you will work effectively with a wide range of partners and stakeholders. Highly organised and resilient, you will be able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, whilst demonstrating a genuine commitment to reducing health inequalities and improving health outcomes for local community.

For the community engagement Coordinator role you will need experience of managing, coordinating or delivering community engagement programmes.

For the stop smoking Coordinator role, you will need experience of managing, coordinating or delivering smoking cessation services.

What we can offer you

As well as the satisfaction of helping to improve thousands of lives across Leicester, you can look forward to a work environment that encourages a healthy work/life balance. You’ll enjoy generous annual leave, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and the option of flexible working. We’ll also give you the chance to develop your skills and expertise with a variety of training and development opportunities. In addition, you can choose from a number of flexible benefits, including discounts on city buses and trains.
