Mechanical Project Manager
Altera Recruitment Group is supporting an established specialist engineering contractor working in the UK water and wastewater sector. The company delivers mechanical infrastructure projects for essential utility services, working with in-house teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
This Mechanical Project Manager will lead several projects across the South East, taking them from survey and planning through procurement, site delivery and commissioning. The role suits an engineer who can coordinate people and resources while keeping safety, programme, quality and budget on track.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Project Manager
* Survey new and existing projects to establish technical and operational requirements.
* Develop project specifications and maintain site information, photographs and supporting documentation.
* Coordinate supplier and subcontractor quotations, labour requirements and tender inputs.
* Manage procurement, subcontractors and site delivery from project award to completion.
* Prepare and manage RAMS and maintain health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
* Coordinate internal teams and maintain clear communication with clients throughout delivery and commissioning.
Candidate Requirements
* At least 2 years of experience in project management or a similar role focused on delivery.
* An engineering background, ideally in utilities, water, power or related infrastructure.
* A sound understanding of site health and safety legislation and practice.
* The ability to organise multiple projects and workstreams.
* Clear communication with clients, site teams and subcontractors.
* A full UK driving licence.
What's on Offer
* £55,000 to £60,000 per annum.
* Full-time, 45 hours per week, with flexibility to support a 24/7 operation and participation in a management callout rota.
