  • Delivery of interventions with children, families and education professionals.
  • Development and delivery of training programmes and workshops.
  • Research, data collection and analysis to inform service development and evidence-based practice.
  • Multi-agency working alongside professionals from education, health and social care.
  • Weekly involvement with our whole school approach to wellbeing – Sandwell Wellbeing Charter Mark.

You'll gain valuable experience across a broad range of activities while developing your knowledge of educational psychology within a supportive, collaborative and forward-thinking service.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • At least two years' experience working directly with children and young people with special educational needs in settings such as education or training
  • Knowledge of all areas of child development
  • Knowledge of all school and SEND relevant legislation and guidance
  • Experience implementing interventions and support strategies
  • Understanding of safeguarding practices and can apply them confidently
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to gather, analyse and interpret information from a range of sources.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and able to travel across setting within the Local Authority
