If you're someone who enjoys helping people through clear communication and organised admin, this is a chance to support important court services in a busy, public-facing environment. Our Client is hiring an Admin Officer (AO) for a Bradford-based role with an office-based working pattern.
What you'll be doing:
* Carry out administrative tasks to help prepare for, facilitate, and support a range of court hearings
* Support court users and stakeholders through face-to-face engagement, telephone (incoming and outbound), and correspondence in different formats-especially where needs may be complex
* Use service scripts and knowledge articles to signpost users to the right support and provide accurate information to help participation in justice
* Follow complaints policies and procedures, responding promptly and helping prevent escalation (including updating OPTIC as required)
* Support operational delivery by working to standard operating procedures and maintaining service and performance standards
* Handle case files with accurate data entry and secure information management, in line with retention and data loss protocols
* Support jury service admin including selection, deferral, reassignment, attendance tracking, and processing related expenses and court fees
* Assist with listing and scheduling to support efficient use of judicial time, including responsiveness to urgent matters
* Provide judicial business support such as diary coordination and local administrative tasks
* Help with enforcement support activities, including financial assessments, fine collection support, and producing basic statistical/financial reports
* Contribute to health and safety operations (e.g., PEEPs, facility checks, issue logging, and key/safety governance under team leader guidance)
* Take on some court usher responsibilities as required
What you'll bring:
* Confident customer service skills with the ability to provide clear, consistent information-calmly and professionally-especially to people with complex needs
* Strong organisation and attention to detail to manage case file admin accurately and securely
* Comfort working to procedures and performance targets in a structured, service-focused environment
* Reliable communication across face-to-face, phone, and written correspondence
* A proactive approach to risk awareness-able to identify issues relating to court buildings and respond appropriately
* The ability to balance multiple administrative duties while supporting key processes (including listing/scheduling and jury service tasks)
