About the Role
Are you an experienced Electrical & Gas Project Manager looking for your next opportunity?
Technical Resources is partnering with a leading mechanical and electrical building services contractor to hire an Electrical & Gas Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of electrical and gas installation projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of electrical and gas projects from mobilisation through to handover, ensuring programme milestones and budgetary targets are met.
Commercial Management: Develop and monitor project budgets, track costs, and produce accurate financial forecasts and progress reports for senior stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Subcontractor Management: Coordinate directly with clients, main contractors, and specialist subcontractors to maintain clear communication and resolve issues proactively throughout the project.
Technical Oversight & Reporting: Produce and review method statements, risk assessments, O&M documentation, and handover packs in line with project specifications.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), Gas Safe requirements, CDM Regulations, and relevant Health & Safety legislation.
Experience & Qualifications Required
Essential:
Experience: Minimum 5 years as an Electrical & Gas Project Manager or similar role within the M&E or building services industry.
Technical Skills: Hands-on background in electrical installation and/or gas systems, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of delivering multi-disciplinary M&E projects across commercial, industrial, or residential environments.
Soft Skills: Strong client relationship management, problem-solving under pressure, and clear written and verbal communication.
Mobility & Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK; full UK driving licence required for UK-wide travel.
Desirable:
Certifications: SMSTS, CSCS/ECS Gold Card, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, ACS Gas qualifications, or PRINCE2/APM project management certification.
Sector Background: Prior experience delivering projects within critical infrastructure, utilities, or large-scale commercial environments.
