About the role
Leisure attendant - relief/casual positions available at Dukeries and Newark
Active4Today is looking for leisure attendants to work at both Dukeries, Leisure Centre, Ollerton and Newark Sports and Fitness Centre.
Leisure attendants keep our customers safe in the pool setting, so you'll need a valid pool lifeguard qualification. (There is a course taking place in July. Please contact the customer services team for more details).
The post holders will also support the full operations of the building including setting up and taking down of equipment for activities and cleaning tasks. There’s lots going on, with a busy programme of set ups and changeovers, and regular contact with customers, so being sensitive to their needs is required.
£12.85 - £13.05 per hour / £24,796 - £25,185 per annum pro rata (pay award pending)
In return, we offer excellent terms and conditions which include:
- Discounted access to the fitness and children membership packages for employee and selected family members
- Optional pension scheme with 16.2% employer contribution
- Company uniform
- Free car parking
- Generous annual leave allowance, 26 days pro rata, rising to 34 days after 5 years' service and 36 days at 10 years' service
- An employee training programme that gives everyone the opportunity to learn the skills they need to unlock and fulfil their potential
- Available courses include customer services level 2, fitness level 2, community activator coach level 2, coaching/teaching qualifications, leisure team member level 2, leisure duty manager level 2 and many more. For further information about our training programmes visit Empowered Skills Training | Lifetime Training
For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Andy Nelson on [phone removed].
Interviews will take place on 18th August.
