Ramp Agent / Baggage Handler – Luton Airport

We are looking for great people with enthusiasm and keen to become Ramp Agents / Baggage Handlers in Luton Airport. This is a hands-on role within a busy airport operation, working as part of a team to help ensure aircraft are turned around safely, efficiently and on time.

For the right candidates, this position offers the opportunity to progress from temporary work into a permanent role.

What you’ll be doing – the day to day stuff.

• Loading and unloading passenger baggage and cargo
• Transporting baggage between the terminal and aircraft
• Supporting aircraft turnaround operations
• Operating ground support equipment following full training
• Working safely around aircraft, vehicles and airport equipment
• Following all airport security, safety and operational procedures
• Working closely with colleagues and airline teams
• Completing tasks efficiently within strict aircraft turnaround times

• Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Physically fit and comfortable undertaking regular manual handling
• Happy working outdoors in different weather conditions
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced airport environment
• A good communicator and team player
• Flexible regarding working hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Previous experience within aviation, airports, warehousing, logistics or other physical/manual roles would be an advantage but is not essential – its your enthusiasm thats key.

Shifts

Airport operations run throughout the day, so flexibility is essential.

• Early shifts can start from approximately 05:00
• Late shifts can finish around 00:00
• Shift patterns and times will vary according to operational requirements
• Working hours may change during the summer flying programme

Aviation Security Requirements
