Admin Officer
Location: Maidstone (ME16 8EQ)
Working Days / Hours: 37 hours Monday - Friday
Working Pattern: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £12.86 per hour

If you're looking for a customer-focused administrative role where your work directly supports the delivery of justice, this could be the opportunity for you. Our Client is hiring for an Admin Officer who will be the first point of contact for users, judicial office holders, and partner agencies-supporting people effectively, including those who are vulnerable or have complex needs.

What you'll be doing:
* Prepare for, facilitate, and help conclude all types of hearings through efficient admin and operational support
* Provide support and clear guidance to users via face-to-face, telephone/webchat, and written communications
* Use service scripts and knowledge articles to signpost users to the right support and keep information consistent
* Manage enquiries, resolve issues where possible, and escalate appropriately to prevent delays
* Handle case files with accurate data entry and secure information management, following retention and data loss protocols
* Support jury service tasks including selection, deferral, reassignment, attendance tracking, and processing related expenses/fees
* Contribute to listing and scheduling, including responding to urgent matters and diary/admin support where needed
* Support enforcement-related activity such as financial assessments, fine collection support, and basic reporting
* Assist with health and safety operations (e.g., checks, issue logging, and key/safety governance under team guidance)
* Keep building, facilities, and IT issues logged and escalated in line with process

What you'll bring:
* Confidence working flexibly as part of a team to deliver changing priorities
* Strong digital skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and use of databases
* Clear communication skills-able to explain processes even in difficult or distressing situations
* A customer-first mindset with resilience, impartiality, and professionalism
* Proactive problem-solving to resolve routine issues and escalate when needed
* Ability to prioritise your workload and make routine decisions using established procedures and guidance
* Interest in working closely with stakeholders to support smooth service delivery

Additional information:
If you're successful in your application a BASIC DBS will be required as part of the on-boarding checks with Brook Street.
Working pattern may require occasional support across different business areas depending on operational need.
