Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Crawley, West Sussex FC Engineering Recruitment Ltd Graduate Mechanical Engineer Location: Crawley, West Sussex Salary: £27,000 to £32,000 Job Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full-time We are an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Crawley, looking for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our design team. You will initially focus on using a mix of 3D CAD and AutoCAD to produce accurate drawings. Key responsibilities will include: * Producing 3D models and engineering drawings * Adapting existing product designs to suit bespoke customer requirements * Preparing drawings for customers and our production team * Reviewing project requirements and identifying practical design solutions * Considering manufacturing methods, cost and production time when developing designs * Working closely with experienced engineers to resolve technical challenges * Updating drawings and maintaining accurate technical documentation * Liaising with our manufacturing team to ensure designs can be produced effectively * Supporting design improvements and problem-solving activities * Taking on increasingly complex projects as your skills and experience develop You will ideally have: * A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline * Experience using 3D CAD software through university projects, placements or employment * A good understanding of engineering drawings and mechanical design principles * An interest in manufacturing and practical engineering * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills * The ability to consider different solutions to an engineering challenge * Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team * A proactive approach and willingness to learn from experienced engineers * The ability to organise your workload and work to project deadlines If you're a Mechanical Engineering graduate looking to develop your design skills and see your work progress from drawing to manufacture, we'd like to hear from you.
