Are you an experienced Site Manager (SHEA Water) looking for your next opportunity?

Technical Resources is partnering with a leading water infrastructure contractor delivering large-scale civil and utilities projects across the UK to hire a Site Manager (SHEA Water). In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe delivery of water infrastructure works in full compliance with SHEA (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) standards.

Key Responsibilities

Site Management: Lead and manage all on-site activities for water infrastructure projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.
SHEA Compliance: Implement and enforce Safety, Health, Environment and Quality protocols across all site operations, maintaining a zero-harm culture.
Stakeholder & Subcontractor Management: Coordinate directly with subcontractors, site operatives, clients, and project teams to ensure seamless programme delivery.
Technical Oversight & Reporting: Produce and maintain daily site diaries, progress reports, method statements, risk assessments, and handover documentation.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all works adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations including CDM 2015, Water Industry Act requirements, and applicable environmental legislation.

Experience & Qualifications Required

Essential:

Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Site Manager within the water or utilities infrastructure industry.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience managing water mains, sewerage, clean/wastewater treatment, or network improvement schemes.
Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record managing multi-discipline site teams on regulated water industry contracts, ideally AMP-framework or framework alliance projects.
Soft Skills: Strong client relationship management, clear communication, confident leadership, and proactive problem-solving on site.
Mobility & Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK; ability to work across sites throughout the North West region.

Desirable:

Certifications: SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold Card), EUSR Water Hygiene, confined space awareness, first aid at work; NRSWA supervisor card advantageous.
Sector Background: Prior experience working under water company frameworks (e.g. United Utilities, Severn Trent) or within AMP7/AMP8 capital delivery programmes.
