Facilities Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer – Renfrew This long‑term contract opportunity offers the potential to transition into a permanent position. Based in Renfrew, this role suits an experienced Facilities or Building Services Engineer looking to contribute their expertise to the safe, efficient and compliant operation of mechanical and electrical systems. Location and Working Pattern Renfrew – site‑based role with occasional out‑of‑hours work as required Client Overview Our client is a respected organisation with complex building services infrastructure. They are seeking a skilled Facilities M&E Engineer to support ongoing maintenance, compliance and asset performance across critical systems. ResponsibilitiesDeliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and coordinate reactive maintenance activitiesMaintain and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, water services, BMS, generators, UPS and access controlMonitor asset performance, identify faults, and implement effective corrective actionsManage specialist contractors, ensuring permits to work and service standards are upheldEnsure compliance with statutory inspections, certifications and record‑keepingSupport refurbishment, upgrade and minor works projects including commissioning and handoverMaintain CMMS data integrity, asset registers and documentationPromote health, safety, sustainability and continuous improvement across site activitiesMust‑have RequirementsDegree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services EngineeringExperience in facilities management, maintenance or building servicesStrong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, statutory compliance, and CMMS useProven contractor management and technical fault‑finding capabilityNice‑to‑have SkillsProfessional engineering membership (e.g. IMechE, IET)IOSH or NEBOSH qualificationExperience supporting refurbishment or project worksApply Now If you’re a technically minded M&E Engineer who enjoys working hands‑on with building services, apply today to learn more about this long‑term opportunity in Renfrew.The NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
