Our client, an award-winning and market-leading integrated security systems provider, is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their team in Warrington. You’ll install, commission and maintain cutting-edge security solutions across the UK, working with Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Detection systems for a diverse range of clients.
Position Overview
As a Commissioning Engineer specialising in small works, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality integrated security solutions to clients nationwide. You’ll be responsible for the installation, commissioning and maintenance of Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Detection systems, ensuring all work meets industry standards and client specifications. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to work with innovative technology while representing the company as a trusted ambassador on client sites.
Responsibilities

Install, commission and maintain Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Detection systems

Act as a company ambassador when visiting client sites

Gather and maintain accurate documentation aligned with client specifications and contracts

Respond to call-out and helpdesk tickets efficiently
-
Plan and prioritise workloads to meet project requirements
-
Maintain assigned vehicles, tools and equipment to company standards
-
Monitor and comply with Health & Safety standards and safe working practices
-
Complete detailed work reports and preventative maintenance records

Coordinate work and provide guidance to team members and subcontractors
-
Make recommendations regarding system improvements to account managers
-
Order equipment and review project requirements to ensure work continuity
Requirements
Essential:
-
Strong technical knowledge in Access Control, Intruder Alarm and CCTV (IP and Analogue)
-
Experience in installation, maintenance and commissioning of security systems
-
Clear understanding of relevant British Standards for security systems
-
NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations or equivalent qualification
-
GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics, English and Science (or equivalent)
-
Full UK driving licence and legal right to work in the UK
-
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
-
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams and similar software
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent customer service abilities
-
Willingness to travel regularly within the UK and occasionally abroad
Desirable:

ECS Card
-
Experience with Milestone XProtect, Axis or Bosch CCTV systems
-
Knowledge of Inner Range or Gallagher Access Control systems
-
Familiarity with Honeywell Galaxy or Texecom Premier Elite Intruder systems
-
Experience with Advancis WinGuard or Cortech Datalog 5
