We have an exciting opportunity for a SEND teaching assistant to join our team.
Our school is a warm, happy and friendly school rated. We have a child centred approach in all that we do. Hours of work, Monday & Tuesday 7.30am – 3.30pm.
We are looking for the ideal candidate who:
- Has extensive experience of supporting children with SEND and additional needs.
- Is nurturing, patient, calm and kind, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Can provide consistent, individualised support and help children to regulate, engage and access their learning.
- Has a strong understanding of sensory, communication, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Can remain calm and positive when faced with challenging situations.
- Works closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider team to implement and monitor support strategies.
- Shows initiative, enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference.
- Has excellent attendance and is committed to building strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
